Wow what a place!! Having not been in before I thought to myself why not? There is this great place so close to your home, why have you never been?
Being established in 1972 as a community based meeting place the Roleystone Club has grown and grown over the years into so much more. After speaking with the manager Michelle during the day, who is a Roleystone local herself, I felt quite excited about the whole experience; I headed down on a Friday night to find out what the go was. What an atmosphere! The restaurant “Windows on Wygonda” was FULL and I mean FULL. With a great range on the menu from Beef, Seafood, Chicken to Vegetarian, plus a great range for the kids, there is something there for everyone.
After getting drinks from some very helpful staff and sitting down in the bar area, we decided to order food from the bar menu ranging from $6.50 - $10.50. We got the steak sandwich and the chicken Brioche in a bun. For pub food they were pretty good, we should have definitely ordered some of the delicious looking chips as well, but with trying to eat healthy we didn’t.
After sitting for a while and taking it all in, I realised there was such a family atmosphere, everyone was chatting away and enjoying the night and listening to the live music and keeping very warm with the log fire. With loads of entertainment every night you’re surely to find something that will entice you!!
Monday and Wednesdays - Chase the Joker, Wednesday and Thursday - $15 Meal Specials, Thursday - 5 course experimental degustation night, which caters for everyone’s food requirements, plus friendly darts, Friday - meat raffle, friendly pool comp and live music, Saturdays are usually very busy for functions, Sunday - breakfast 9am – 11am plus the traditional Sunday Roast from 12 – 3pm, Social Bowls starts at 1pm and Darts from 4pm and last but not least the local lawn bowls group representing Roleystone, the club is busy and full of energy most nights and welcomes everyone in and around Roleystone to come and join in the atmosphere. Don’t forget it is perfect for your very next private function.
